OUR STORY

We came across poké for the first time while travelling in California. Taken back by the vibes of the dish, the health benefits and the fresh quality of all the ingredients, we decided that it would be a perfect addition to Irelands ever-growing food scene.

From that moment on, Shaka Poké was born. With own take on the dish, through months of testing with family and friends in our parents kitchens, we introduced Ireland to its first ever poké bowl. We started out at weekly food markets and festivals, while going on to be nominated into The Irish Street Food awards in our first summer in business, 2017.

With growing popularity and heaps of support from customers, the first brick and mortar location was built right in the heart of the quaint and quirky Blackrock Market, opening in March 2018. With the love and the spirit of the community, Blackrock Market has become our home.

With the help of all our passionate and friendly staff, most of whom have been our family, friends and loved ones, we remain as committed as ever to producing that vibrant dish we discovered on the rolling hills of California!
